Successful organization of the Fifth Youth Parliament at R.B.D.A.V.Sr.Sec. Public School, Bathinda

Today on 11.12.2024, the fifth session of the Youth Parliament was successfully organized in a very systematic manner by the students of the senior classes under the exemplary leadership and guidance of Principal Dr. Anuradha Bhatia ji, with the cooperation of the Director of Youth Parliament, Mrs. Sudesh Jindal, at R.B.D.A.V.Sr.Sec.Public School, Bathinda. The program started with Gayatri Mantra and DAV Gaan.

On this occasion, Dr. Deepak Kumar (Dean School of Legal Studies, Central University, Bathinda) was the Chief Guest and Vice President Dr. K.K. Nohria was the special guest. Other dignitaries present were Dr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma (Principal, DAV College) and Ms. Smriti Roy (Asst. Professor of Law Department, Central University, Bathinda) and parents of the participating students. The Principal welcomed all the guests heartily.

The student MPs presented the formal working system of the Parliament by showing how the MPs are sworn in, how the bill is passed by taking a unanimous decision after debate. The objective of this activity was to strengthen the democratic system, to develop leadership skills by instilling faith and loyalty in the students towards the Constitution and Parliament. Many important issues were discussed during the Question Hour. A bill was passed against educational corruption.

The Chief Guest Dr. Deepak Kumar (Dean School of Legal Studies, Central University, Bathinda) praised all the student MPs for seeing such a peaceful, informative and enthusiastic Parliament session and he inspired all the students to grow up and play an important role in the field of politics and take the country forward.
